So here comes the New Year.

2012 was an important year for me. It was my first full year of living in the U.K., it was the year I completed my first year on my BA Photography program at London College of Communication and went into my second, it was where I became involved with what I can truthfully exclaim as the love of my life, and it was a full year of self-discovery in my art, my life, and my self, part of which is still occurring. Although it went by faster than I anticipated, I'm glad it went the way it did, and I can only hope for an even better time this year.

The funny (but not really so funny, at all) part about time is that when you think about it intently and watch it closely, staring at the clock or waiting around for some 'miracle' to happen - It goes by very slowly, almost as if you're frozen in stagnant water that has no way of cleaning itself. However, when you actually do something; when you make your life a schedule full of tasks and accomplishments waiting to be done, it flies right on by - As if time doesn't even exist at all. Sometimes that can be disheartening, to feel like your life is passing you by so quickly that you don't know how to slow it down, or even if you realise that perhaps, you should in fact slow it down, it seems a bit too late to catch what you wanted to spend time on..But that's the importance of realising that you have one life to live, and to make the most of it that you can, no matter what.

New term.

So my University project for this term is based on the very, incredibly loose concept of 'Society' --- Basically meaning, for any of you who don't go to an arts university/school/whatever and wouldn't understand what I mean by that ----- I can pretty much do whatever I want and relate it to that brief.

SO.

I've decided to look at human sexuality - The different forms of it, what is created by it, etc. It's a pretty broad idea still, even though I'm a bit more than half - way through term, which is a bit worrying..But I believe that has more to do with the references that I've been given by my tutors and such. I actually had a fantastic tutorial yesterday, where my tutor told me that the reason I was still so confused as to what I was doing and making was because I was over-thinking it..Sounds strange, maybe, but it makes sense. You see --

For something as such as to what I'm doing for this term; looking at sexuality, and the like..It's not something that can be over-thought and produce great results. This statement will make more sense if you look at the later posts on this blog, but basically, for what I'm looking at right now in terms of references and what I'm creating, it's more about the process of the subconscious and how that works itself out. So by over-analysing and trying to understand why a certain artist is doing what they're doing; By trying to understand EXACTLY what it is that I'm doing RIGHT NOW..I'm actually not using my subconscious at all. Which defeats the purpose.

Don't get me? You'll see..Just continue reading on to the other posts.

News News News

I'm awful at keeping up to date with things, as seen here. Bit of a change going on to thiiiisss blog..Instead of just my mobile photos, it's going to be anything/everything inspiring me --- From artists to fashion 'trends' to literally anything..

It will also correlate with any projects I have going on at the moment, including University - and other - wise.

I will try my best to keep up with this space; I'm hoping that if I use it on a more 'general' basis, that I'll be able to keep up with it better. Watch it and see what happens!

Hey Everyone!

So I've created an Etsy shop for my photography, and would love it if you would all check it out/spread the word! It's in its starting phase, but I can assure you that soon it will be full of more photos to come!

Please feel free to let me know what you think! Thanks! (:

Created this for my university's last term's project. It explores the ideology behind and consumption that the disorder of 'Thanatophobia', or the fear of death, can create.

Originally projected onto a large screen.
